In Friesland it is all about the Wadden islands. On Terschelling lies the Tigerstellung, a radar position of more than a hundred bunkers that is now a museum. Vlieland, Ameland and Schiermonnikoog have smaller positions, partly under the sand. At Kornwerderzand stand the Dutch casemates where the German advance was halted in May 1940.
